Pleio Privacy Statement

This statement applies to all Pleio sub-sites unless sub-sites explicitly state that a separate or additional privacy statement applies.

Article 1: Privacy of your Pleio account.

To use the possibilities of Pleio we ask you to create an account. You can adjust and / or delete your account information at any time in your profile. Your name and profile picture on Pleio are always visible to the public and can also be found by search engines.

You can set additional profile data for each sub-site in your profile. You can then set who can see this data. Search engines can locate this information when you choose 'public visibility'.

You can indicate in your profile what activities you want to be kept informed of. In addition, there is always a possibility that Pleio or one of the sub-sites will send you service messages in case of faults and site renewals. If registered for our newsletter, we will send it to the e-mail address that is used for your account.

If you respond to a blog, your name and any profile picture are visible at any time. The same applies if you use other possibilities of Pleio.

Article 2: How does the Pleio Foundation handle your personal data?

Data that you enter when creating an account is stored on an ISO27001 and NEN7510, secure servers from Pleio in the Netherlands and can only be accessed when you enter your name and password. Pleio will only use this information for the purpose for which you provided it. In doing so, we comply with the regulations that the AVG imposes on us. Pleio will therefore never share your data with third parties, unless detection is required. For example, if someone commits criminal offenses via Pleio or makes punishable statements.

The data exchanged shall be kept for a period not exceeding that is necessary for the purposes for which it is exchanged. Under Data Protection legislation, after expiry of the retention period such data should be deleted.
